Leaving the historical metropolis with a lot of fond memories...long walks, Mediterranean sunset from Galata bridge, innumerable new experiences, the majestic ottoman domes, and Byzantine remnants, conversations locals while cruising the Bosphorus-- Istanbul has seeped into our senses within the last 3 days. However, the fast transition towards West and rapid modernization or Turkification (as Pamuk calls it) is very apparent. At least a week's stay would somewhat suffice to relish everything the city has to offer.<br />- Rini<br /> We tried lamb shish kebap from Sultanahmet Koftecisi after learning about the iconic place from ur blog. During iftaar nearly half of the city queues in front of the restaurant.
